PRIM&R Partners

PRIM&R partners help advance ethical research by leveraging our combined strengths. We are proud to bring together stakeholders from like-minded organizations to explore topics relevant to advancing ethical research across disciplines.

Artificial Intelligence (AI)/Machine Learning (ML)/Big Data IRB Collaborative Working Group

Recognizing a gap in HRPP/IRB guidance related to AI/ML/Big Data research, we formed a collaborative effort with 14 other institutions and PRIM&R. The group aims to develop guidance for our respective HRPPs, with an emphasis on IRB review processes of AI Tool protocols, which will then be shared widely with other institutions. The Working Group includes subgroups to address various aspects of the challenges posed by research studies proposing to use, develop, validate, or implement an AI-based intervention.
