Overview
Advances in artificial intelligence (AI) have led to increased discussions about the appropriate use of AI in research. However, AI also offers exciting opportunities for applications in the administration of research compliance. In this webinar we will explore some of AI’s capabilities as they relate to core regulatory operations. It will showcase how AI can be leveraged by institutions to improve efficiency, redirect workload, and enhance user experience.

Participants will receive a certificate of attendance that documents up to 1.25 continuing education credit hours for their attendance at this webinar. Certificates of attendance are useful for obtaining CE credits from professional associations. Each association's guidelines for accepting CE credit hours (in-person or virtual) may differ. Kirstin Morningstar
Senior Director of the Office of Regulatory Services at The University of Texas at Arlington
Kirstin received a B.S. in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University, and an MBA from UTA. She has 20+ years of experience in research compliance and holds CIP certification in IRB administration and CPIA certification in IACUC administration. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Texas Society for Biomedical Research (TSBR). Her office is responsible for oversight and coordination of programs for the IRB, IACUC, IBC, research conflicts of interest, export control, research misconduct, foreign influence, and responsible conduct of research (RCR).
