We are excited to have you join our community of ethics-minded research professionals! To help you make the most of your first year of membership, here’s a handy roadmap of what to do:

STEP ONE: LOGIN

Login  if you haven’t already! The majority of your member benefits are accessed by logging into your PRIM&R account. You’ll want to make sure your profile is up-to-date.

STEP TWO: WATCH OUR VIDEO

Watch our Introduction to PRIM&R Membership recording for an overview of PRIM&R's history and mission, our membership community and the member benefits you have access to.

STEP THREE: BROWSE PRIM&R CONTENT

Browse PRIM&R Content to find recordings of Community Conversations, conferences, SBER Network Virtual Roundtables, and webinars, issues of Research Ethics Digest and discussion guides, and Workload and Salary Survey results.

Explore past issues of the PRIM&R Member Newsletter, an information hub exclusively for members, which offers an easy and dependable way of keeping current. Look for your first issue in your inbox on the 4th Thursday of the month. You can also read past issues of Research Ethics Digest and participate in the Research Ethics Digest Self-Study Program to earn up to nine continuing education credits for the human subjects protections quiz and six continuing education credits for the animal care and use quiz per year.

STEP FOUR: ACCESS ONLINE COMMUNITY

Once you’ve gotten to know the resources available on our website, it’s time to connect with other PRIM&R members! Join the PRIM&R Online Community, which hosts the IRB Forum and members-only IACUC Channel, SBER Network, and Resource Library, which is an evergreen collection of community-submitted workplace tools such as SOPs, templates, guidance documents, and more. You can also sign up for our Mentoring Program to be paired with someone else in the field who has faced similar challenges.

What You Will Receive

Ensure you’re receiving email from PRIM&R! To give you a sense of what to expect, you should receive an issue of PRIM&R This Week almost every week, in addition to an issue of the PRIM&R Member Newsletter 11 times per year, and an issue of Research Ethics Digest on a bimonthly basis. If these messages are not appearing in your inbox, be sure to add the following to your safe senders list:
