Other Ways To Give

There are a variety of ways to support PRIM&R, and gifts of any size help us to respond to emerging issues, expand access to education, and support a community dedicated to responsible and ethical research. Donors who give monthly are recognized through the 1974 Giving Circle, and donors who contribute $1,000 or more annually are recognized through the Ampersand Society.

Other Ways to Give

Stock Donations
Your gift supports PRIM&R’s mission to advance research ethics while offering a purposeful and potentially tax-advantaged way to give. By donating stock, PRIM&R receives the full value of your gift. We maintain a brokerage account with Boston Common Asset Management to facilitate these transfers. Learn More
Donor Advised Funds
Donor-advised funds (DAFs) offer a flexible and tax-efficient way to support PRIM&R. You may recommend a grant to PRIM&R from your DAF at any time.
Please consult your DAF provider for specific instructions and eligibility requirements.
Gifts by Check
Donations by check may be mailed to:
Public Responsibility in Medicine and Research (PRIM&R)Attn: Development20 Park Plaza, Suite 1420Boston, MA 02116
Appreciated Securities
Gifts of appreciated securities, such as stocks or mutual funds, can be a tax-efficient way to support PRIM&R. You may be able to avoid capital gains tax and receive a charitable income tax deduction for the full fair market value, as permitted by law.
Please contact PRIM&R for transfer instructions. We also encourage you to consult your financial or tax advisor.
Matching Gifts
Many employers offer matching gift programs that can increase the impact of your donation to PRIM&R. Some companies also match gifts made by retirees or spouses.
When making your gift, you can indicate that it is eligible for a matching gift. We encourage you to check with your employer for eligibility and any required steps.
IRA Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs)
If you are age 70½ or older, you may be eligible to make a qualified charitable distribution (QCD) directly from your IRA to PRIM&R. QCDs are generally excluded from taxable income and may count toward satisfying required minimum distributions.
Please consult your financial or tax advisor and contact PRIM&R for transfer instructions.
