A PRIM&R Virtual Event

Solutions Showcase

Friday, January 23, 2026

Overview

The PRIM&R Solutions Showcase is a free virtual event designed to connect research oversight and compliance professionals with organizations offering tools, services, and technologies relevant to the ethical conduct and administration of research. Through a series of focused, vendor-led sessions, attendees will have the opportunity to learn how different solutions address common operational and compliance challenges across human research protections, animal care and use, and research integrity programs. Each session provides a structured overview and live demonstration, followed by time for questions and discussion. PRIM&R does not endorse any specific product or service. Participation in the Solutions Showcase is intended to support informed decision-making by providing transparency into available options within the research enterprise.

Why Attend:

Research oversight programs are increasingly asked to do more with limited resources while maintaining high standards for ethics, compliance, and quality. The Solutions Showcase offers a time-efficient way to explore emerging and established tools that may support your work, including solutions related to:
  • Learn how electronic research administration and protocol management platforms are designed to support submission, review, tracking, and reporting across research programs
  • Compare approaches used by independent and institutional IRBs to support compliant, timely, and consistent human subjects review
  • Explore data-driven and research support services that inform decision-making, evaluation, and program improvement
  • Gain insight into how different organizations address common operational challenges, including workload management, turnaround times, communication, and regulatory documentation
  • Ask questions and engage directly with providers to better understand scope, limitations, and implementation considerations
Attendees may register for one or more sessions based on their interests and responsibilities. Sessions are designed to be practical, concise, and directly relevant to the day-to-day realities of research administration.

What to Expect

  • Live, 25-minute sessions led by solution providers
  • Real-time demonstrations of products and services
  • Opportunities for Q&A with vendor representatives
  • On-demand access to session recordings following the event
Each session is independent, allowing you to customize your experience and focus on the solutions most relevant to your role.

Registration is Free

Registration is available on a per-session basis. You may attend one session or multiple sessions based on your interests. Advance registration is required. Below you will find information about each participating vendor, including a brief overview of their solution and a link to register for their session.
Vendor participation in the Solutions Showcase is a paid sponsorship opportunity and does not imply PRIM&R review or endorsement.

Better Surveys, Better Data: A Practical Guide for Researchers Surveys remain one of the most powerful tools for understanding what people know, do, and believe—but designing a survey that produces valid and reliable data is far from simple. Researchers face critical decisions at every stage: Which approach ensures representativeness and scientific rigor? How do you produce surveys that minimize bias and maximize response rates and data quality? And how is this all accomplished at different price-points? This webinar provides a comprehensive overview of the survey design process and the choices one faces along the way, blending literature with practical, real-world examples. Participants will learn best practices grounded in methodological rigor, including:
  • Selecting a sample: Are opt-in (also called convenience or nonprobability) samples and panels representative? What are the alternatives?
  • How does one develop and execute a high-quality research project?
  • What are the advantages of using a probability panel and what are some of its use cases?
  • Ultimately, what are the 10 most important questions to ask a vendor who would conduct the survey?
Whether you’re new to surveys, seeking a refresher, or a common practitioner,  this session equips you with actionable strategies to design surveys that deliver trustworthy insights. By the end, you’ll have a clear roadmap for making informed design decisions that elevate the quality and impact of your research.
