Call For Applications

Our newly reinstituted Education Committee is now accepting applications for six open seats designated as follows: 

  • IACUC staff
  • Biomedical IRB staff
  • Nonbiomedical IRB staff
  • Nonhuman animal researcher
  • Biomedical researcher
  • Social/Behavioral/Education researcher

Education Committee members* play a crucial role assisting PRIM&R design its educational programs by recommending topics and faculty for webinars and workshops and providing feedback on the two core training workshops for IRB and IACUC administrators, as well as on other educational products and opportunities developed by PRIM&R. 

Education Committee Member Responsibilities:

 As a member of the Education Committee, you agree to: 

  • Serve a two-year term starting June 1, 2023. 
  • Participate in three virtual meetings, per year (90–120 mins max, in July, November, and March), and additional conference calls as needed (total time commitment not to exceed 30 hours/year). 
  • Provide input on topics and faculty for 12–14 webinars per year, as well as up to 12 PRIM&R preconference workshops. 
  • Collaborate with PRIM&R staff to evaluate learning opportunities and launch new initiatives. 

Criteria to apply:

Applicants who are IRB/IACUC staff must be current PRIM&R members and maintain active membership status throughout their appointment. You are also invited to nominate a scientist from your institution to serve in one of the three seats reserved for researchers. PRIM&R membership is not a requirement for researchers who are interested in serving on this Committee.

Interested researchers must also complete this form. Nomination materials are due by April 1, 2023
