Each fall, PRIM&R hosts its Advancing Ethical Research (AER) Conference, which is geared toward those working in human subjects protections, research ethics, and oversight. This event brings together 2,500 professionals from public and private institutions, the federal government, industry, and academia, to learn, deconstruct, discuss, and debate, and to network with colleagues in the field.
Through a series of keynotes, panels, breakout sessions, and networking events, attendees will learn about ethical issues and the federal regulations governing human subjects research, best practices for the review and monitoring of research, implementing the revised Common Rule, single IRB, and other late-breaking topics. The day before the AER Conference starts, we’ll offer several preconference programs offering an in-depth exploration on timely topics.
In 2021, we will also offer our Social, Behavioral, and Educational Research (SBER) Conference the day before the AER Conference starts. Join 500 of your colleagues working in this area to learn and discuss challenging and timely issues in the review, administration, and oversight of social behavioral research.
The 2021 annual conference schedule is as follows:
- November 18: AER21 Preconference Programs
- November 18: 2021 Social, Behavioral, and Educational Research (SBER) Conference
- November 19-21: 2021 Advancing Ethical Research (AER) Conference
This meeting is scheduled to take place in Orlando, FL. Registration will open and the agendas will be available in early June 2021.
