Protect the Integrity of Research

Why Your Support Matters

Ethical research depends on strong systems of oversight, education, and professional community. For over 50 years, PRIM&R has supported the professionals responsible for protecting research participants, guiding ethical decision-making, and strengthening the integrity of the research enterprise. Your support helps PRIM&R tackle emerging ethical challenges in science and medicine while strengthening the community dedicated to high-standard research oversight. Your contributions help PRIM&R:
  • Preserve important research ethics resources for the field
  • Expand training and education for oversight professionals
  • Respond quickly to emerging ethical challenges in science and medicine
  • Strengthen public policy engagement and advocacy for responsible and ethical research practices
  • Grow the community of professionals working to uphold ethical research standards
Donors make it possible for PRIM&R to strengthen the ethical foundations of research and support the professionals who safeguard responsible research practices.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, contributions to PRIM&R are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

Additional Ways to Give

Joan Rachlin Scholarship Fund

The Joan Rachlin Scholarship Fund was established in honor of PRIM&R’s founding executive director, Joan Rachlin. Joan championed the development of conference scholarships to ensure that professionals from resource-scarce settings around the world could access key learning opportunities. This fund supports PRIM&R’s current conference scholarship programs: the Institutional Capacity Building Scholarship (which serves teams from HBCUs, HSIs, TCUs) and the Global Research Scholarship (which serves IRB/REC staff/members and researchers from LMICs).

Pillars of PRIM&R Fund

The Pillars of PRIM&R Fund was established in honor of the Pillars of PRIM&R—individuals who were integral to PRIM&R's founding and early growth. This fund supports the Pillars of PRIM&R Outstanding Poster Award, which is given to acknowledge outstanding projects or efforts designed to improve human research protections programs or animal care and use programs, through better education, tools, procedures, practices, or which contribute to empirical research or scholarship in the research ethics field.
